What is brainwave entrainment?

Brainwave entrainment is a proven method of synchronizing ("entraining") one's brainwaves.

It works by applying frequencies (or sound vibrations) into the ear, which the brain corresponds with and emulates. The result is a game of 'follow the leader,' as the brain processes those frequencies.

A good way to understand how brainwave entrainment works is to imagine what happens when you strike a tuning fork and bring it close to another one - both tuning forks will begin to ring in sympathetic vibration.

BrainEv's approach is no different. By applying a variety of specialized audio tones and effects to our rich audio soundscapes, your brainwaves can latch on and follow the enriching stimuli throughout each disk and reach mental destinations that are otherwise difficult to achieve through everyday living.

"I've played with various types of brainwave entrainment tools for years. Some of them have worked amazingly well for me. Some of them had no effect whatsoever. The Brain Evolution System was one of the few that worked amazingly well. I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot."

Who shouldn't use brainwave entrainment??

Please read our FULL FDA disclaimer and list of PRECAUTIONS by clicking here.

Most importantly, those with a predisposition to epilepsy may be affected when using brainwave entrainment technology.

However rare, there is a risk of seizure associated with individuals who are predisposed to epileptic fits. Typically, entrainment rates over 30 - 40 Hz have been observed to aggravate epileptic conditions. In order to maintain a safe entrainment experience the 3P DEAP entrainment encoding in the Brain Evolution System does not use any rates above 25 Hz.

Consult your doctor directly if you have any questions or concerns regarding audio brainwave entrainment technology's effect on epilepsy.

"I've used brainwave entrainment programs in the past, but none compare with these brainwave MP3s. Whatever you guys have done, let me tell you, I can feel the magic. I strap on the headphones and rise after each session feeling unstoppable. Great brainwave meditation tool. Talk about competitive edge!"

Tell Me More About Brainwaves & EEG Readings?

The electrical activity emanating from the brain creates frequencies called brainwaves. Brainwave frequencies are measured in Hertz (Hz), meaning cycles per second. The more cycles per second, the greater the Hertz value.

There are four major categories of brainwaves ranging from the most activity to the least activity, these are: BETA, ALPHA, THETA and DELTA.

Each image below depicts a one second snapshot of human brainwave activity, as detected by an electroencephalogram (EEG). As you’ll notice, greater values indicate more brainwave activity within the one second time-frame.

are characteristic of an engaged mind, which is highly alert and well focused. Beta activity is quick-connect, fast activity and tends to dominate the normal waking state of consciousness when-attention is directed towards the outside world.

Typically detected in the frontal lobes (where decisions are managed), Beta is usually seen on both sides of the brain in geometric distribution. It may be absent or reduced in areas of brain damage. It is generally regarded as a normal rhythm and tends to be the dominant rhythm in those who are alert, anxious or have their eyes open

ALPHA BRAINWAVES are slower than beta and can represent a relaxed awareness in the mind. This rhythm is seen when the brain sets itself to rest or reflect. Alpha rates are increased by closing the eyes and relaxation, yet are offset by opening one’s eyes or any concentrated effort.

Alpha is usually best detected in the frontal regions of the head, on each side of the brain. Alpha is the major rhythm seen in normal relaxed adults and is typically regarded as the common relaxation mode beyond the age of 13.

THETA BRAINWAVES can indicate drowsiness, daydreaming, the first stage of sleep or ‘indirect’ imagination/thinking. Theta activity is not often seen in awake adults (unless engaged in a meditative practice), but is perfectly normal in alert children up to 13 years and in most sleep.

A Theta state can be regarded as a gateway to hypnagogic states that lay between being awake and falling asleep. Often Theta entrainment can promote vivid flashes of mental imagery as one becomes receptive to brain/mind information beyond one’s typical conscious awareness. Theta has also been identified as a part of learning, memory and reductions in stress.

DELTA BRAINWAVES can reveal deep sleep or slow-wave ‘background’ thinking. Much like bass sound, Delta tends to be the highest in amplitude and the slowest waves. Delta is often associated with deep sleep. Certain frequencies, in the delta range, have been shown to trigger the body’s healing and growth mechanisms.

Interestingly, Delta is the dominant rhythm in infants up to one year, as well as stages 3 and 4 of dreamless sleep.

Can I listen more than once a day?

We recommend that you only listen for a maximum of once per day.

You shouldn't try to overwhelm the brain, or cram too much training into a short period of time. Increased listening will not equate to increased results!

Compare building your mental muscle to building physical muscle at the gym. Imagine you try to do "everything" in one day, and spend 15 hours non-stop on arm weights - you'll likely end up exhausted, and without any significant results to show for it. But spend 30 minutes a day for the whole month, and you'll probably see substantial results. Little and often WORKS.

In addition, our research shows that listening too much can desensitize you to brainwave entrainment stimuli - in the same way that people living near noisy environments (such as next to train tracks or airports) adjust to no longer "hearing" the constant bombardment of loud noises.

Please follow the general listening guidelines, and don't feel pressure to rush ahead.

Rather than to limit your growth, our recommendations are here to ensure you get the VERY BEST results from the Brain Evolution System!

How long should the BrainEv program be used?

We recommend sitting each level for 1 whole month -- that's 1 listening session a day, for 6 days a week -- with a day off for reflection.

Every month, you will advance to the next level (the next CD), and continue this enjoyable, life-bettering process for 6 months.

At the end of your dedicated 6 month evolution, you will revisit each CD for a day - over 6 days. After this final re-visitation, you are considered a BrainEv graduate.

At that point, you can continue to sit each level as you deem fit. We suggest revisiting the entire program once a day, every 2-3 months or so, to keep your new-found "mental muscle" as toned as possible. We have also recently released Level 7 as a powerful continuation of the program.

Once you have graduated, you may wish to get in touch with us to discuss how you specifically can continue using the program, or discuss the matter with other enthusiasts on our forum at
